Ingredients:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbs vanilla extract
- 2 tbs baking powder
- 1 egg
- about 1/2 stick butter
- cooking oil for frying
Procedure:
- Melt the butter using the microwave.
- In a bowl, put the sugar, milk, vanilla, butter, baking powder, and the egg stir until smooth.
- Add the flour (do not use all of it) into the mixture, and mix everything again.
- Leave the batter in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- After the 30 minutes, put the remaining flour on a board and put the dough on top of the flour. Flatten it with a rolling pin until it is one inch thick (just like making rotis).
- Use a small bowl to make circles and then make a small hole in the center to make it look like a flat donut.
- Deep fry the donuts and take it out of the oil when it is golden brown.
- If you would like, add icing, frosting, whipped cream, sprinkles, etc.
